Afternoon all

Just wondering if many have signed up with Opentrack?

There's a right gaggle going from our end, ranging from me in the 306, Type R, JCW Mini, Polo Gti, Leon CupraR, and im aware of a chap going in a very nice GTR

Fingers crossed for a good day!

Cheers

Tempted, would be my first one, it it fairly relaxed at Bedford? Do most take out insurance or wing it - lots of run off areas right?

Lots of run off. You'd do well to hit anything. The only thing they are very hot on is noise. The limit is very low. There are 3 or 4 microphones around the track and its one strike and your out, no chance to make your car quieter. Its a fun track.

What he said!

I've been to a few other tracks and still thoroughly enjoy Bedford. Need to make the most of it before it becomes a housing estate....

I'm heading to Bedford on Monday with Javelin.

It is a pretty safe circuit with loads of run off for the most part. That said, I have experienced an E46 M3 hurtling towards me while I was standing in the pits when the driver lost control coming onto the pit straight - he hit the gravel trap and rolled it a couple of times before ending upside down just in front of a car heading out onto track.

So yes, generally safe, but it's still possible to get it badly wrong.

Will do :-)

It's not the super charged one that was insanely quick at Silverstone last year is it!?

I was also there when the M3 flipped, scary stuff

Nope, mine was just a bog standard 1.8. I was there, white split rims and a hard-top. Was a good day, fun finding the grip in the wet!
