Any PH'ers planning to attend EVO Magazine's track evenings this year? I've booked their Bedford Autodrome dates on Friday 7 July and Friday 1 September. I had planned to take my new Lotus 3-Eleven but the noise limit at Bedford looks pretty strict (101db) so I'm not going to risk it. I'll just have to bring something a bit quieter.

Yep will be there on 7th with a few friends. Mixture of Loti and Porsche. Come and say hi. Any pics of the 3-eleven? Was at Hethel on Monday for the factory tour, spotted a trio on the production line. Looked mega!

Do you know how much noise the 311 will make? Has Lotus given a value?

Rockingham host their own track evenings, the first Thursday of the month between 6pm and 8pm and its cheaper at £85 but the Evo session is between 4:30pm and 8pm so is better value.

Excellent, I'll definitely come over and say hello at Bedford on 7th July. I'll be in a dark blue McLaren 12C.

My Lotus 3-Eleven should be ready for collection on 31st March. Here are a few pics of it in build at Hethel:

Lotus Bell & Colvill in Surrey (my local dealership) have suggested to stick to track days with a 105db limit and above.

Great see you there we'll be heading up in convoy from Herts with a yellow Lotus Exige, yellow 991, bright green Caterham and an orange Evora. You definitely won't miss us!

Excellent. That's a vivid convoy indeed biggrin

New pic of my 3-Eleven, which has just arrived at Lotus Bell & Colvill in Surrey. The car will be ready for collection next Friday.

That looks amazing, though tell them to sweep their floor! biggrin

No EVO days for me this year, but am definitely a fan, I found they tend to attract real car fans and as such the driving standards were better than a general day, which allows you to feel safer and more relaxed. At least for me anyway!

I can't bring the Lotus 3-Eleven to the EVO Magazine track days at Bedford, regrettably, because of noise limits (it needs 105db or over). l'll therefore be taking the 12C instead, which should prove quick enough. Question is: will it be as fun..?

Can't see how a McLaren on a track can be anything other than fun, just a slightly different kind of fun to the Lotus!

Just booked next weeks Evo Rockingham trackday. The biefing is at 17.00 and tracktime starts at 17.30,No mention of sighting laps,I presume they will be at the start of tracktime. Not quiet the 3.5hrs of track action for your £130s, compared to the 2hrs for £85 Rockingham offer. In fairness Evo are offering at least 1 addional driver and free passenger rides for each car booked, which is usually £30 and £10 each. Not much point if like me, you are one driver going with a few mates with their own cars.Does make the Bedford track Eves a good buy.Anyone else going, see you there and lets hope they bring some tasty fleet testing cars.

Loving the Mustang.

I've finally got the 12C back from McLaren Ascot after it blew a coolant hose at the Nurburgring back in April. Let's hope for a better outing at Bedford on 7 July...

I'll be there for the September session. Girlfriend and I will be in a blue LHD lotus exige. Not been before so looking forward to a fun evening, and hopefully we won't have any noise issues.

Doing the Friday 18th August Rockingham day in my M3; looking forward to it, always a god fun track that! £130 seems cheap for a solid 2.5hrs potential tracktime (I'd rarely do more than two hours on a full day anyway), and maybe try and blag a pax ride with some staffers.

Hope everyone had fun at the last Rockingham event, even if it was wet?

I'm going to try and bring the Lotus 3-Eleven to the September Bedford event. Hopefully noise won't be a big issue... 😬
