Definitely agree about the neck supports. They may not look too clever but if you crash they are very good.

On the topic of helmets, is there any decent helmet shops around the East London/Essex area where I can try / purchase one? I think my mate is fed up with me borrowing his helmet! Thanks.

Not that I know of. There is Grand Prix Racewear in West London I believe. I was looking for a shop in the essex area the other week to buy my new helmet but ended up mail ordering from Demon Tweeks, if you get the wrong size they will send you a correctly sized one free of charge.

Just buy yourself a decent motorbike helmet if you are only doing the occaisional track day. Main priority is it fits snugly and there is no movement. Also make sure the chin strap can be secured properly. Ycan get a reasonable helmet pretty cheap. I paid £70 for mine, which wasn't the cheapest by all means, but its pretty lightweight and isnt flash or tacky so that suits me fine.

Any opinions on Nitro or FM bike helmets? Tried on a Nitro a while back and thought it seemed OK, prices are pretty good as well.

It would only be for occasional use in a tin-top...
