Motorsport Events has published its November track day calendar, three of the four events being on airfields with nothing to hit if you lose it. And if you book more than one event during what's left of 2005, you get a free lesson from one of the firm's team of instructors.

Hullavington

Friday 11 November: Hullavington (Wiltshire, near J17 of the M4), £99. The last visit of 2005 to this superb, long airfield track. A popular venue with huge run-off areas and a track design to provide both the novice and experienced driver with a challenge.

Bassingbourn

Friday 18 November: Bassingbourn (near Royston, Herts), £99. A fun, popular 1.5 mile airfield track. Situated in an excellent location within easy reach of the M25.

Mallory Park

Saturday 19 November: Mallory Park (Leicestershire), £129. Home of the famous 'Gerrards' corner this famous and challenging circuit is a definite one not to miss.

Keevil

Monday 21 November: Keevil (near Trowbridge, Wilts), £89. Keevil provides a spectacular setting for this wonderful 1.9 mile airfield track and is one a popular venue for all levels of experience. An amazing venue that will provide lap after lap of fun.

Motorsport Events said it aims for:

  • Open pit lane so loads of track time
  • Coaching available from experienced motorsport professionals
  • Fun, friendly atmosphere
  • Firm but fair driving standards rules

do motorsport events still ban competition cars?

and what do they determine as a competition car - any thing with stickers on it, single seaters, noisey, roll cage?

Yeah, their site does still say competition cars are banned, but I don't know what criteria they use. Best to phone them up I guess.

Anyone else going to Hullavington on the 11th? My first track day! Very excited!
