I'm trying to find a good rally experience for my dad for the 'up to £200' mark and had set my sights on a half day at Prestwold Hall which includes driving a Subaru and a Mitsubishi Evolution V on tarmac stage, then a VW Polo group N rally car on tarmac/loose gravel, then a loose gravel stage in a group N rally car ending with a passenger ride with a rally instructor in one of their rally cars. This lasts about 3-4 hours.

Then a look here talks about something called MSV which I trace through to 1.5 hours at Oulton Park which talks about going in a factory prepared Peugeot 206 or competition-spec rear wheel drive Escort Cosworth rally car.

They are both nearly the same price, has anyone any experience on either or recommendations of which one is better (i.e. is the shorter one much better to justify the shortened time); or have I really missed something about these 'days'?

Any help much appreciated!

Ive just returned from Prestwold Hall having attended the Ferrari experience.

I can honestly say the whole day was an utter waste of time and money, incredibly poor value for money.

One of the best places I know is RALLYDRIVE based near Gainsbourgh. Run by a top bloke and his wife. Not a rally circuit but he has and is competing all over the world on various events.
Ask for Howard and mention Mohammed and Ridedrive when speaking to them if you decide to ring them. He helped coordinate the recent Lucazade rally for a novice during the Autralian WRC if didnot see him on Eurosport tv recently.

Thanks both for your input.

Nick, out of interest why did you think it was a waste of time?

ridedrive Moh, I've taken a look at the Rally-Drive site (I never found them on my initial search) and I think that the ProdriverPlus looks the best bet, which did you do?

I've done the rally day with Prestwold and it was great fun, i recently also did the Ferrari day at Prestwold as well which was good, quality is suffering at Prestwold as they are too busy now.
