I went down today on spec. About 14 didn't turn up so I got in.

I was one of the 14 that didn't turn up. I was all ready to go and then...

I guess you're loss was someone else's gain

What a great day. Shame RMA aren't doing the UK anymore.

Trackdemon - I never knew Honda made NSX-shaped ride-on lawnmowers until yesterday

Will, was that you in the Black Cayman Yesterday?

Nicely driven, very competant motor!

Thanks!

Need to get the brakes looked at after yesterday, but otherwise happy with the Cayman so far.

was commenting how great the brakes seemed to be.. hope you didnt chew them

I liked the look, think black is a nice color for it.

How do you find it compared to the TT? More Chuckabke?

Cayman has excellent turn-in compared to anything I've driven and is more adjustable on the throttle than the turbo. I'm pretty sure the turbo is faster round Bedford, though. No problem with brake efficiency, but they developed some rather annoying judder after a while.

It was a good day but the noise thing is getting rediculous now! CSR 360 was too loud, then not too loud for a 1/2 hour and then too loud, then not too loud. Roadsport B was too loud, then not too loud!

There's definitely an issue about the cold weather and wind direction. I strongly suspect there's also an issue relating to the frequency response of their noise monitoring equipment.

In fairness I only ventured onto the grass once , but seeing as you were never gonna let me past I descended quickly into juvenile attempts at sliding around - its a bl00dy hard car to cope with in opposite lock! Had a great dice with Don Palmer in the S2000 later on - was a good fun day.

Your brakes did appear to be (typically Porsche I guess) very good - you seemed able to brake way later & harder than I could (the brakes are one of the NSX's biggest drawbacks for track use). Its really annoying actually; I find myself catching people, they let me past and then they must be thinking "what the hell is he braking for already!!"

...Like that old one about why people behind seem to keep having accidents - Moi?

Another Don Palmer day beckons - when I've got slightly less rubber to burn!

I'll second that - I was a victim of the noise on both those cars - seems the Radical wasn't noisy enough, eh???

Mind you the CSR 260 was awesome - CSR360, huh? BLOODY HELL - that would be something!!

This was my first time at Bedford and with the CSR - 150mph on straight, WOW!

Still Buzzing from the day!

Yup I fell foul of the noise regs early doors, despite having been to several days before. Again was explained that it was probably due to air temp & wind direction. This was at 11:30am, so I spent the rest of the day changing up @ 6k rpm (apart from the back straight where I don't think there are any sound checks). Good for engine longevity and fuel consumption but that in combination with rubbish brakes made me a good deal slower than usual

To be fair to the marshalls and Mick Miaggio, the senior instructor their hands are tied, everything has to be logged and even Palmers own cars have been thrown off his own corporate days when conditions aren't right.

The main issue on Sat was the noise meter on the short straight behind the pits and I was impressed when a scarf accidently got caught up around it.........must have been the wind blowing someones scarf around and it landed in an unfortunate place!!

It is however going to kill track days there as it's not worth the risk, our Roadsport has been fine all year there and all of a sudden it's almost 3dB over.......?

Back to the drawing board for the CSR as well........if the silencer gets any bigger we'll need another 30bhp from the Cosworth lump!

Don't RMA have their own chaps to do photo's? I checked a while back and there was none from the Snetterton day I did so I guess they are not at all days. Mick was the voice of reason as always, good guy; gave me some useful advice!

I thought that hence, I was only taking pics of my mate as I did not want to upset anyone.

Had I know that, I would have taken some of everyone.....I did get a few though, although it was a bit cold to stand taking pics, I'll blame the blurred ones on wearing gloves

I was impressed with the noise the red 911 pictured above was making. Sounded like the tappets had never been adjusted in its life!

Any 993turbo's in your collection?
