Ok, we're teaming up with Rob Gravett (ex BTCC champ) and track-club for some more driving adventures next year.

We've got a number of dates pencilled in already.

Check them out here

Do you need a full license or just provisional license?

Would be great if you could do a Car control day later in the year too. I can't get £400 together for next month, but July/Aug would give me some saving up time.

You do need a full driving licence, but it doesn't matter how many points you have.

We had a 15 year old on todays PH Ultimate Car control day - and he was very good. Surprised a few people with some well controlled sideways action

I believe they can supply a car for you to use. UKBob should be able to confirm.

They recently switched from BMW to mercedes' (c class and something else, does anyone remember?) and a brabus. You can bring your own car, or use theirs. We train on their cars in the morning, then use our own for the second half of the day. Those who want to use the cars supplied for the duration of the entire day may do so.

What, the ultimate car control date? Crowthorne/Woking way. There are usually people from all over the UK attending, at least one or two who sleep over the previous night in a travel lodge, check the track day forum for UCC dates - there are a few threads in there with posts, and people whose opinions you can ask

Ted, where is the link to the original thread? The next date is Sat 4th March, following which is Sat 22 April and the refresher date (pay attention Ted) is 20th May.

Yes, its worth it. Most people "on the day" say they want to come back and do it again. On the last date, there were a few of us who did it before and came back. Its one of the only courses where newbies and experinced track day enthusiasts all gather together, and all come away happy with the feeling they have learned something new. The great thing is you are never without an instructor (not until the very end of the day) and every minute you are driving, you are getting feedback every 10 seconds, on your every move.

Im no great driver myself, but have seen plenty of girls who have never done a track day (all nervous at the beginning) jump in, get going, and hours later are new/transformed/better drivers.

Come along. Its a super friendly environment, you will learn loads, everyone in their own time is encouraged to move towards experiencing the limits of your own car (or their cars) and the bottom line if fun, skill, safety and speed.

So yes, whatever your angle, its worth it and it will be fun

Ok, sounds good to me,

How do I d to book for march (or april...)

Is this course will really help me to do proper track day in the future? (i only did go kart and never been on a track with a car).
