Planning to do a couple of track days a year and a couple of trips to the 'ring (I know you don't need a helmet, but just in case!). I've seen two that seem to fit the bill, both around the £60 mark, namely:-

Sparco Club

and

OMP Jet Axis

Anyone any experience of these products?

no experience of either,

although i would say that you need to make sure that it fits right (maybe go to a motorbike shop - the staff should be trained in fitting helmets), make sure it's ACU approved (this means it will tested and as safe as possible), and don't skimp on the price (track day helmets last a lot longer than ones used on a bike everyday).

even for the track, i wouldln't spend less than £100, unless in the sale, etc.

just make sure that it fits right - if it don't fit right then don't buy it! coz it won't protect you properly if the worst should happen!

I'm sure that brands hatch asked for helmets to be MSA approved. I have no intension to have a bike so would always go for an MSA / Snell approved helmet which cheap bike helmets are not. MAS approved helmets can be bought from places like demon tweeks or kart shops etc for under £100.

I've got the omp integrale plus, which is the second one down on the link which is fine. When for full face so that i can use it for karting.

Ive got the OMP Integrale New Plus also, its a nice helmet i think. I've used it outside on a bike before tho and the visor steams up pretty easily, not a problem in an enclosed car as i use it with the visor up. I believe you can get a spray to combat this problem tho.
Main reason to get full face imo is karting and passenger rides in westfields etc

Demon Tweeks do an approved open face Sparco helmet for about £55.
