I'll be calling them to cancel my booking tomorrow. My dealer just confirmed my engine won't be removed until 8/9 May due to workload. No way will it get back and in the car before Sat 20th May. (Its going to Blackpool too, not TVR Power).

Pity. I'll have to book another date up there this year.

Enjoy everyone.

Some quick guys in the advanced group. I'm happy to stay in the middle group, I belive its the more comfortable ofthe three to be in.

Intermediate for us lot, much more fun

To be honest, on the day i dont think it makes any difference 'cus nearly all the entrants sign up to intermediate or beginner anyway, & the organisers just split it into equal numbers.

You tick the box on the entry form in sprint.

yeah that tells me what group *i'm* in .. but not what group everyone else is in unless they fill out their forms in front of me
I wondered if there was a way of finding out who was going and in what group as one post seemed to indicate knowledge of this...

You could try e-mailing Bernie or Ian Bannister. They maybe prepared to release the info when its available....unless its covered by the data protection act.

Ok - I'll be the only one in the advanced group then When I booked Alison said "I assume the advanced for you"!. It realistically makes little difference which group anyone is in provided that everyone follows the rules i.e "drive at your own pace, be observant and everyone else can drive at theirs and hopefully will be observant too"
Hope to be able to make it up at a good time for a beer and food with some of you on Sunday night.

Yeah, she said something similar to me. The experienced group, if it actually exists, is just that, a group of people who have experinced more track time. I don't think I'm a particularly special/advanced driver but I am used to sometimes being passed and occasionally passing others so I'm happy to be in that group. If its just me and cirks that would be great though I guess we may have to share the track with some other people. As cirks says as long as you play by the rules it doesn't really matter what group you're in.
So as long as I have a new clutch by then I'll see you there.

INFO FOR THOSE THAT ASKED ABOUT THE 3 DIFF. GROUPS :-
WHEN BERNIE & I ALLOCATE DRIVERS INTO GROUPS, OUR MAIN CONCERN IS TO PUT ANY FIRST TIMERS/BEGINNERS OR 'NERVOUS TYPES' INTO THE 3RD GROUP OUT.
THIS GIVES THEM TIME TO HAVE A MORE THOROUGH DRIVERS BRIEFING,WHILST 1ST GROUP IS OUT,THIS GOES MORE INTO BEING SAFE ON TRACK,KEEPING TO RIGHT, USING INSTRUCTORS,TAKING THE CORRECT LINES etc. BEFORE GOING OUT ON TRACK FOR THE FIRST TIME.
THE OTHER 2 GROUPS ARE MADE UP OF THE PEOPLE THAT ARE LEFT. IF EVERYONE GETS THERE IN GOOD TIME, IT MAKES OUR JOB EASIER PLACING PEOPLE. WE HAVE IN THE PAST HAD PROBS WHEN 26 PEOPLE HAVE CLAIMED TO BE 1st TIMERS, AS THAT IS THEN MORE THAN 1 FULL GROUP

There's a Shell with Optimax in the town you drive through en-route from the South. About 8-9 miles away. Louth is to the North with several stations and only about 5 miles away.
