Track club offers novice days

Track day tasters in suitably tasty cars

Drive this: Renault Clio 182 Cup
Drive this: Renault Clio 182 Cup
Track day car hire club track-club is to hold days for novices under the brand of Track Day Tasters. The club sees them as an opportunity for you to experience the thrills and excitement of driving round some of the world's most famous racing circuits without the expense of using your own car.

The format is simple and designed to ensure that you get the most driving time combined with an emphasis on learning genuine high speed driving skills and a respect for the track environment.

The club provides cars from its own fleet, ranging from the best modern hatchback -- the Clio 182 Cup -- through to the awesome Caterham CSR260.

You start the day with comprehensive briefings which will put you at ease and ensure your and everyone else's safety. Driving will start in either the Clio or Caterham Roadsport and over the course of the day you will progress into a faster, more adept car such as the Lotus Exige S2.

Pricing for these track day tasters begins at £250 per head, which includes the track day, car, instruction, helmet hire and intercoms. The club said: "All you need to bring is an enthusiasm for learning and driving and we will provide everything else."

  • Bedford Autodrome: Saturday 19 August
  • Rockingham: Sunday 20 August
  • Silverstone: Thursday 24 August
  • Donington Park: Monday 28 August

Be sure to mention PH when you book.

A few ladies have expressed an interest in sharing event just with other ladies (girls and women also eligible I think). If any PH girls are interested in this please drop us a note to info@track-club.com expressing which of the dates you would prefer and we will put together a ladies group.

The same thing can apply by the way to any group of like minded people if you want your own mini event.......

Does anyone have any experience of days with Track-Club? Interested in attending this, probably at Silverstone, but would like to hear feedback from anyone before spending my hard earned £300.

They have a great repuation and I have only heard good things about them.I would suggest you look back a previous threads - I know 'he who must be obeyed' has been on a number of days with them and we are both members of the club.

Hope this helps

There's just two places left for the Bedford event on the 19th.

Was at the Bedford event, had use of the Exige and Caterham Roadsport.

Given one to one tuition in the morning then given solo laping in 15 min sesions in the Afternoon. Was a great event and a great bunch of lads.

It was a good day (but I would say that!). Had a "sprinkling" :-) of rain in the afternoon which meant that all the guys experienced a good combination of cars and environment.

Scott and Karl (the instructors) did an excellent job and importantly were confident that all the guys who attended the event had enough experience and skills to attend another day with confidence.

Another excellent Goldtrack day as well with the usual good organisation combined with a small number of cars meaning lots of quality track time.

Should also mention that during the torential downpour the "committed" individual in the red Lotus 7 clone belonging to a certain Mr Hunt kept us all entertained :-)

Will run some more of these in the very near future.

Yeah, I did a very similar day last year - very well organised and very freindly too. I'd definately do another and join on the basis of the "open day" I atteneded, but as my track days are over for the time being I can't

I'd be interested for next year but as someone else mentioned, would be good to have Brands on the list.

There tend not to be too many dates available at Brands other than through MSV.

If any small groups want to collude and indentify a specific date then the we would be more than happy to arrange and event and sort out all of the details.
