I've just signed up for the week long course in September - am totally looking forward to this. They said they expected 20+ people on it. So anyone else on here going?

Yes you do get your ARDS, plus a few races (I've elected for the full three) towards the six you need to get rid of your L-plates!

That makes it quite expensive - don't think I dare put the full amount on here! But type "silverstone racing intensive" into google and you'll be able to find details...let me know how you get on

"Height: 5ft 2ins - 6ft 2ins Maximum Weight: 16st"

Weightist bastards. At 6'3" and 18.5 stone, that lets me right out....

If you talk to them nicely you can still do it. I'm a little shorter, but we had a guy who was at least 6'4" on the course, and I'm easily as heavy as you are. The formula cars become a little "tight" (so ask for the wide opening ones) but you should be able to fit. If really concerned, visit them and ask to sit in one.

if it's any consolation, I'm 6'5 1/2", 19 stone and have size 13 feet, and I can fit in a (std) narrow bodied caterham. OK it's a bit snug, but that's part of the fun....!

I've been looking for something like this. I'm going to start saving.

Fergus I'm well impressed - I test drove a caterham today (i'm six foot 1 and 12 stone) and found it quite tight, plus my head stuck out the top and I had to drive in my socks because my shoes were too wide :-)

I am seriously thinking about doing it. I am trying to convince some friends as well so I can try to get a better price if possible. Did you manage to wangle any discount. I did say that I already had my own gear and wouldn't need the suit, boots and gloves and they said they would knock some off. I also need to call and ask about insurance. I thought it is all covered but then I saw on their website that on the arive and drive sessions you have an excess of £1500 which is quite steep. i am wandering if it si the same for the course.
