I'll be out in the Clio. Lucky 13th trackday for me this year, but first time ever at Bedford even though it's only 40 miles away.

Hi Guys,

I'll be there... Blue Cooper S. Second time at Bedford this year, although only 3rd trackday overall. Hoping for rain spin so I can keep up with the RWD boys.

If anyone fancies a passenger ride then please feel free to come say hello

See ya
Dave

Superb afternoon at Bedford, although shame about the absolute pea-souper fog until 12 noon! Was there with Caterham doing one of their Circuit experiences and had a cracking time, even if we had a half-day session vs the full one. A real mix - lots of GT3's, a few TIV's, quite a lot of Elises. Definitely would return and instruction on the course top notch.

what I thouh was a shame was the incredibly high number of cars there.

There was barely a moment when you didnt have to queue.

Ive been going there for years and yesterday was one of the worst days ever. Not just because of the fog and queues, but because the standard of driving was so poor.

No one was directly to blame but when there are that many novices, the briefing really needs to empasize 2 main points.

Firstly the overtaking etiquette needs a good 5 minutes spent explaining that if a fast car is coming up behind you, they need to check there mirrors, and get out of the way...the fact that the usually brilliant marshalls hardly waved a blue flag didnt help either.
This led to lots of close incidents and quite a few red flags...not a common site a bedford.

Secondly another 5 minutes needs to be spent explaining how to cool brakes down. Usually the guy who does the briefings for MSV does this really well. Just telling people to "cool your brakes" means nothing to a novice.

Still it didnt stop it from being a great day but if the numbers are that high again, it will put me off.
