Yes Sean,

'Harry' is my slightly tame Astra Saloon (ahem! - Belmont) (www.teamdangerous.com)

I posted a glib reply to your thread...... but that's what you have to expect from me!

See you there.

If it rains, you can improve on your wet weather technique - and that's where the skill is.

If you look at proper race test days, the amount of drivers/teams that cancel because it rains.... when they could be honing their wet set-ups and wet driving skills.

Let's face it, how often does it rain on this sceptred isle of ours?....

Astra, on a track day!? Nutter haha!

Improve in the rain indeed, there is always more grip than you would think and using wet lines on the faster corners at Silverstone helps a great deal..!

Now you're telling them the tricks of the trade for nothing!!! Don't tell everyone, they'll be doing rain dances to get their money's worth!

As for using my astra - well it's a case of needing a day to shake it down before 4th Nov, and this was the best venue and date available. I'll probably be "fully shaken" by mid-morning, all being well. Of you'll find me laying under it teaching onlookers new phrases or sayings probably unrelated to motor vehicles, probably more like questioning it's parentage.

Hope I didn't make too much noise - I think you were in the same garage as me (12a/b/c)

Had an interesting day. Very pleasant atmosphere. Those that came to see me and say hello, well it' nice to see you all too.

I found problems with my car that have eluded me for ages and ages, and can now go forward into next season with them fixed (I hope!)

Wasn't expecting to drive, was keeping a mate company in the black GT2, but my curiosity got the better of me and had to take the hairdresser TTC2 out in the afternoon just to see if it was any better than the old one (which it was) but still understeering A LOT !! Was a good day though...

Yes, it was a nippy little thing, came past me a couple of times, cornered more like a go cart

Great day, saw lots of people with video cameras, dont be afraid to post them!!!

Great track, the most technical track Ive ever done with one corner very much affecting your positioning for the next, and I was really struggling to find front end grip on some of the longer corners with front wheel drive (particularly the last one, went on forever eek!) Its defo a big power RWD circuit driving, but fun nonetheless.

The ute really had some go!
