For me to insure my Clio v6 fully comp, protected NCB with a large number of declared mods is £827 and they then offer trackday insurance on a per event basis e.g. Donington = £85. This doubles your excess but you still retain the protected NCB. Only location they don't seem to cover is Castle Combe apparently due to the loss of 3 Imprezzas in one day.

I did get a quote from Competition Car Insurance but as others have said it is ferociously expensive

I am insured through LANCASTER, they not only refused to insure me for my track day at Brands on the 23rd, BUT also want documented proof that I either get insurance to cover personal injury AND 3rd party damage OR cancel the event (with a letter of cancelation from the event holder) or THEY will cancel my insurance the day before the event. Now I have 4 cars insured with them at the moment, and i will bet that I will have none within 2 weeks. Victoria here I come. Remember the name LANCASTER and steer clear.
