This is me having a go at Spa on my first visit there.
On a standard Honda S2000 (upgraded brakes) and with a passenger... Did it in 3m03s and I am chasing a Porsche 911GT3RS for the lap...

Hope you enjoy.
Nice lap!

Here's a 3m0s lap on a damp track with drying line in a standard M135i

Track Attack timing on my Iphone at Spa Tuesday following a very nice orange GT3 RS was 2min 55's on Nankang road/track tyres in an EVO 6 RS with a few modifications. Lots of traffic but couldn't have done much better to be fair.

Here's a 2.52 in my Caterham - not happy with it though, feel the car easily has sub 2.50 in it. Nice view from a rear facing camera going up Eau Rouge with a GT2 up my chuff.. http://youtu.be/H2P6MSxi5AA?t=2m32s

2:54 in a 996 GT3 earlier this week.
One bit of traffic and a couple of ragged places.
I can see a few more seconds available, but was happy with this.

Thanks.

Ha! Yes, I know! That was a point of frustration. I kept saying to Mike I am braking before the turn in...can't help it smile
I had to leave early on the day or else would have worked on it. I stiffened up the dampers which was good elsewhere but increased the bumpiness into ER further increasing the temptation to brake.

Also on that lap I fluffed the downshift a little too...the pull down across the gate from 5th to 4th was inefficient and thus late on the power. A few times I also stuffed it into 6th instead smile I am sure on other laps I got it much better.

Blanchimont could also be better...

But still, I loved every minute!

Nice lap mate, very impressive how far you have taken it from spring to autumn. There's always a sec here and there for us amateurs to cut off, but then we loose 1 or 2 sec on other sections. Especially ER punishes if not taken aggressive, entering Kemmel you wanna carry every extra mph you can ... Seriously try and do a close to flat out through ER and just use my alternative line if you don't get it leaned in timely :-)

Over the past few years I've timed/video'd the following:-

996 GT3 mk1 on Pirelli P Zeros - 2.53s
E46 M3 with AP's on Federal RSR - 3 mins dead
Cayman R on Michelin PS2 - 2.56s but car had less than 6oo miles on it so not freed up!
997 GT3.1 with Alcon Ceramics on Michelin PSS - 2.50s

Most fun was the mk1 GT3 - shouldn't have sold that car!

Cheers

Simon

Not as quick as some on here, but on my way home from the ring I managed to blag 20 mins with an instructor during a trackdsy

Best lap approximately 3.23 in a Focus ST on road tyres which I was pretty impressed with.. Instructor said it was quick.. But then they all do don't they? Gotta keep the customers happy.

Thanks for posting, that is a proper lap. Great to see a top driver giving it full beans in one of these machines, amazing!
