I'm taking the cheap comment as a compliment, that implies it was worth money, the car was free from a colleague! I like to think I had as much fun as anyone on track that day, even if I only had 45bhp (or whatever it made)!
well said - when i started really getting into trackdays/competing in hillclimbs and the likes it was in an old BMW e30 that i built in my shed with an MOT and tax so i could drive it to events :-) doesnt matter how fast or expensive the car is, as long as you are having fun - i tend to find the majority of people with loads of money and really nice cars cant actually use it anyway!
My E36 track car. Back from the mechanic after an argument with the barrier at Blyton Park. He's done a fantastic job and it is all running really sweet. Superb day at Bedford on monday - nice dry track, good setup from Javelin, and a quality crowd of good drivers refreshingly free of dheads. The GT circuit there really is a brilliant drive.

Small world....that's me in the car behind!Agree it was a good day out with good etiquette. Felt like a few people weren't really pushing on as much as they could though.
May aswell wack a photo up while I'm posting!
I was certainly taking it a little easy, as it had just come back after an expensive crash and I wasn't going to tt it again! (and my girlfirend was in the passenger seat for her first track day - although saying that she managed to blag herself a ride in that monstrous black kit car in the afternoon!!)
