I did a 59.5s lap in a friend's lightly modified Honda S2000. Later on managed a 1:01s lap in my Exige V6... Didn't feel comfortable pushing it without insurance!

I've been thinking about it. Since getting the car setup properly and learning to drive it, I've been wanting to see if I can better my time and see what it'll do on slicks before I sell the car.

Fantastic Kam!! smile

Will def take the meg if you're taking the clio, it'll be great sport, think the cars will be equally matched - I've only managed high 57's so far though..

Can you drop me a text if you're not going to make it?

Happy new year mate.

Great stuff, will you be in the E92 you mentioned? Slicks will take at least a second off the cup2's if it's dry.

55 is really good for a standard M3 smile

The M3 had suspension and brakes at the time.

Since then it's had a decent setup, 30bhp, -50kg and an operator upgrade. I'm hoping the combination of that, a fully dry track and slicks will see it under 53.

Sounds possible. If you're Using new/fresh slicks and haven't before you'll be gobsmacked at how much grip they get. Oil surge is an issue on a lot of cars, not sure if the E92's suffer this? Also everything takes huge forces when running slicks, something that handles well on cup 2's can handle like crap on slicks.

Long shot but were you at s'stone getting coached by Matt last month?
