CIMA - Which method of study?

My partner is about to start CIMA, but isn't sure of which way to go. The options are:
1. e-Learning Virtual Classroom - A real teacher, in real time, asking questions on the internet as they go with a second teacher
2. Distance Learning + Weekend Classes - A real teacher actually in front of you, but not as often.
Both are Kaplan. What do people think? I've heard good things about Option 1 from others at my work, but no personal experience (I'm not clever enough!)
