Two questions smile

My 6 month probation period ends soon, unfortunately i'm not all that keen on the job for various reasons.

At the moment if I wanted to leave I could just send my boss an email asking for my P45 in the post, however after my probabtion period I have to give a month.

my question is, should I decide to leave after an unsatisfactory probabtion review (i.e. no pay rise as documented in my job contract), will I still have to give a month or can I go home on the day?

Hate to sound so negative, but it would take a while to explain why i dont plan on sticking around!

Secondly, do recruiters see you as a more attractive prospect if you currently have a job, or if you are unemployed?

Defo more of a prospect to employers if you are already working, however, you sound like you are in a similar position to me, i.e not happy in what your doing, its a call you have to make depending on how unhappy you are, personally, i would try and stick it out and find something else at the same time, if someone offers you a position im sure you could come to an amicable agreement with your current employer over notice period

Good luck with your search

Why are you a better prospect if you are already working?

Because you will be unemployed for a period otherwise - and that looks bad on a CV.
