well I doubt its as easy as it looks. More a skive then a way of life. Still, if yoyu do decide to become a traveller, let us known where you settle and what its like. wobble

You could suggest to them that you'd like a sabbatical until a suitable position is available.
This is quite common here, most members of my team have left to go travelling and come back. (theyre not allowed to call it a sabbatical, you have to leave and when you come back they will put your job up on the intranet for a bit, just to make it "fair"), but it's a given you'll get your job back. It's just unfortunate that I don't want this job! There isn't anything else I could do here tbh, it's time to find somewhere else.

Oh my god,

When the future wife comes along, and the house, and the baby, then theres is no time or money to do the travel
If I change my sexual preference I'll bear that in mind..! wink

Sorry SunnyD,

Just my asumptions getting ahead of me.
No offence.

Certainly not crazy.
I've done it once purely to travel and did it in 2010 to become an English teacher abroad. Still doing that now and want to travel again before/if ever I return permanently to the UK.
Life is about having fun, not having a CV!

It was only until you mentioned skiving that I realised you weren't talking about lesbianism...

That's certainly a mantra I live by. It's just a shame we all need money to live. And have the nice house, in a nice area with a nice car or 3...

Do It!!! and Bugger the money! Life's about living and you can't take the money with you when you're dead. Happy experienced and poor is infinitely better than Pissed off and employed!

Go for it,
Spent time travelling and working abroad when younger, loved it, plenty of time to settle down when you get older, always amazes me when I chat to friends of a similar age (40) who never bothered to go anywhere, and now just go on about not being able to afford to etc.

Just do it, and send us a postcard!

I think it's pretty clear what I should do.

I've started looking at flights.

Coming soon to a thread near you... Where Should Sunny go on her Travels... smile

Travelled the length of Canada, loved it !

Worked on a small island off the coast of Sicilly, again, an excellent experience!

very stressful, been really unhappy, it’s affecting my personal life.

but I’ve been getting itchy feet to go travelling again (I’m 27)

should I just be grateful to have a job at all
I've picked out the most important points.

You've been travelling, so try a different Approach. It's clear that you are not the employee type, and should try running your own business. Try something simple. How about window cleaning, or garden maintenance.

Open an Ice cream shop. something.

yes We certainly need cash to live on. Funnily enough I'm quite happy with a job I enjoy, a 1 bed flat and an old Matiz at the moment. We'll see if that changes as I get older hehe

Does Sunny need warm weather to enjoy herself?
or perhaps interesting cultures to explore?
