Telling a recruitment consultant how much you earn

how much I 'want' is essentially all I say. Never what i'm actually on. As other factors can outweigh money.


"I want X amount per day or i'm not interested."

I neither care or want to know how much any agency is taking as a cut.

If they say no, the role is Y amount per day......I simply say "you are looking for someone less qualified than me"

Then the conversation ends or I get the amount I ask for.

Then I am a very simple man :-)
