Hi Guys, I am looking for someone with an in-depth knowledge of installing and maintaining X-Ray equipment. You will be mainly working in Germany but will also work in other parts of Europe. You will not need to relocate as I will cover your expenses from the UK or other parts of Europe. This is a long term position with possible training opportunities. The Field Service Technician will provide services that will range in scope from performing installations, commissioning, trouble-shooting, and calibration of GE Inspection Technologies: Standard X-ray, X-ray Testing Machines, Digital and Phoenix hardware and software products at GE and customer locations.
Install, maintain, and repair industrial x-ray systems and supporting peripheral equipment, such as: X-ray tubes, generators, coolers, scanners, stepper motors/controllers, power supplies, high voltage control circuits, and high-end PCs with high res. monitors.

Provide customers with technical support via phone and onsite service.
Identify problems, take initiative to eliminate those problems and maintain ownership through customer satisfaction.

Timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.

Responsible for driving customer satisfaction from commitment through quality service standards.

Support the business growth initiatives.

Make decisions based on business impact, technical data, and customer needs.
Assure site work is executed in accordance with the cost allocations that are budgeted, including direct cost and labor hour management.

Monitor site safety during work scope execution.

Qualification/Requirements:

Possess a two- to four-year technical degree in Electronics (AAS, BSEE), Mechanics (AAS, BSME) or Industrial Engineering (AS, BSIE
At least 2 years of previous experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, electronic equipment, including some type of X-ray equipment.

I would love to do a job that like, not everyday do you hear of someone fixing xray machines as their job. Sadly I don't posses any of the qualifications!
