'strange' emails from employer?
Discussion
Don't want to go into too much detail but on my hunt for a new job I received at email today, it basically offered me a job and gave a brief description, it was then signed from the director of the company.
I just think the whole approach was a bit strange and the writing style was questionable, any chance it could be some kind of scam?

Probably a scam with someone using a genuine company name; we get people using our company (large multinational O&G) name and logo all the time; as soon as we've tracked one outfit/scammer down, another pops up.
Always try calling the company HQ before signing anything/replying to e-mails; don't trust the phone numbers on the e-mails if it looks scammy.

I posted my CV to Job site. Then Lo and behold got hundreds of replies looking for a manager position ,who MUST be a UK resident, with a bank account. The wording made me very suspicious, looking like folks from parts of foreign climes. IF, it goes Kwak, waddles ,then it possibly a duck - if the language/wording is suspicious and you've got doubts, then most probably it's a Nigerian scam .
Problem is that JOBSITE haven't spotted this scam . So beware

I was getting loads of suspect e-mails when I was job hunting, JobSite were by far the worst site for "work from home earning £9999 a hour" and the like - I guess desperate job seekers are hardly hard to find and scam these days.
In my experience, recruitment is a slow, very regimented process by modern business standards - even if a potential employer knew you professionally and was dying to recruit you the most you could expect would be an invitation to come in for a chat - I would be very suspect of an unsolicited e-mail offering you a role.
Best of luck on your Hunt though! It’s never a nice thing to do.
