How many people do your job?
Discussion
About 15 other people do the same job as me. We're pretty specialised within a large breakdown company.
Not come across another company with a similar dedicated team.
In a nutshell, I oversee technical queries from a large network garages, deal with policy repudiations and enforcements, and liase with insurance companies and other stakeholders, company PR reps, and produce MI reports for senior management.
Hopefully in a month or so, I shall then be a resource manager deciding how best to allocate staff on a day to day basis across insurance claims centres over the UK, in which role I'd guess there are maybe a few thousand... possibly less.

Buying and selling cars, buying and selling ferrous/non-ferrous metals and catalytic convertors, breaking cars and selling parts, sourcing new parts from suppliers for customers, general mechanic work, general office work including organising work for the other mechanics, doing wages, tax returns etc., fitting tyres, van/lorry driving, digger driving, and last but not least, farming khaki campbell ducks.
Anyone else do all that?

I am a full time close up magician
Seriously?I fecking LOVE this, me. I went to a posh dinner at a big stately home a few years back, and there was a close up / table magician going round doing tricks.
I thought it was great - even close up and trying to watch his every move, I could not work out the tricks. I can see it must take years of practice to get that good.
I caught him at the bar later and bought him a couple of beers and got chatting about the whole thing and how he got into it.
After a while, he said 'come on, I'll show you how I do some of the more common tricks' and we went over to where he had his 'box of tricks.'
He showed me a few tricks, and I couldn't spot how they were done, until he slowed right down and told me where to look. Once I could see how it was done, it was so simple and yet so clever - the sleight of hand and misdirection - totally awesome IMHO!
