That's the only TOC I've seen with height requirements! Was about to submit my CV but I'm too tall!

For anyone else thinking of it, do it!

I'd still whack my application form in, personally. They wont measure your height until after the assessment. If you pass the first stage it is valid across the Uk for 2 years.

Stedders; who're you working for out of interest? A mate of mine is thinking of doing this, are Southern recruiting? I'll let him know if they are.

I'm too tall. Straight to over £40k and 31 days holiday at 21 (22 trained) though with no qualifications required... sheesh.

Yeah, no turning up late because you've used one of those inferior forms of transport. hehe

Sounds great but I'm generally asleep when on the train, so possibly not the kind of person they would be looking for frown

I know. I wouldn't get out of bed for it either!

I'd love to apply but I'm proven colour blind. Grrrh. In greens to so don't think that will go down to well.

Down south, near a football stadium wink

If the PM function works, drop me one. I'm not purposely obtuse all the time!

Train travel is so expensive not because of staff costs its about the profiteering of the TOCS / Network Rail management bonuses / ROSCOS etc
Plus the coddem govt stategy is to take away all govt subsidy from the industry & this is why we see such huge hikes in fares recently, at a time when they waste huge amounts on foreign aid !! Plus they compare our railways with European railways which have had huge amounts of govt investment over recent time when we have reduced our investment in the railways....

No laser eye surgery allowed!

That's interesting given pilots can have it done, and most people with glasses have worse vision.
