Sounds horrible, but this may be the case. What does he enjoy doing? Or is good at?

Like all people he's got strengths and weaknesses.

Exams are not his thing, and he is gullible to say the least. But teach him something that he takes in and he will connect with people. I think he will be a good salesman, providing the product or concept is not advanced.

His employers see him as Customer Service and it's a role that he seems to do well in both enjoying and actually sorting out the issue, while retaining the customers.
