but for the girls, it is not fair.Some of them have rightly complained quite vociferously - and the reply has basically been 'if you don't like it, then you know what you can do...'
A bad enough response to any employee - but to a degree-level trained clinician, a bit ridiculous.
Anyway - those chickens are-a comin' home to roost now. And the Trusts are panicking somewhat...
When you're new into a job I have found that if there seems to be a high staff turnover, chances are you will not be happy there and it is worth at least thinking of a "Plan B". The opposite applies of course.
This may seem blindingly obvious or it may not, but always worth asking questions to determine staff turnover rates at interview!

Company size is around 25,000. I've no idea what the turnover rate is for the whole company; but in my area, there are about 3,000 of us, the turnover rate is around 1.5%.
Part of the reason it's so low, however, is that it isn't very mobile. It is a seniority based industry, so if I were to leave and go somewhere else, I'd likely have to start from the bottom again.
