My wife is a learning disabilities nurse several years ago while trying to restrain and move a patient a door was slammed on her arm. This resulted in her fracturing her wrist and damaging the nerves. She has under gone several operations and they are now considering fusing some of the bones, this will limit movement.

As she is unable to restrain and complete a handling and movement course which must be done to work in inpatients her role was put at risk. She managed to get a one year secondment to work in the community with in the trust. This is now coming to an end and once again she is placed at risk.

If she can't find a suitable role within the trust she will be dismissed I think she will be paid 3 months notice. She has 14 years service with the NHS. HR has told her a tribunal will be pointless as the trust has supported her. One doctor that examined her through occupational health told her retirement through injury could be option.

If any employment solicitors could advise or recommend a solicitors in West Yorkshire it would be apprieated.

Maybe engage with some lawyers for there view. They might be able to give a better view on things rather than somebody you don't know given advice where sometimes it can be as much use as a chocolate fire guard.

Im currently taking NHS to court for an injury what cost my career and after 6 years were just getting to court.
