AFTERSALES – SERVICE MANAGER
Following the impending retirement of our current Aftersales Manager after 30 years in the role, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to oversee all aspects of our expanding Aftersales Department. SUBARU routinely top the charts in Customer Care and Satisfaction, so the successful candidate must have a proven technical background and a passion to meet the demands of our valued customers. Reporting directly to the MD, responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of the workshop including work loading, parts sales, marketing, warranty submissions and implementing staff training programmes.
Maple Leaf Subaru is a family run business that has been established for approaching 70 years. We offer a relaxed working atmosphere without the pressure of a target based PLC environment, and a salary package commensurate with the position and experience you can bring to the business. Full ongoing systems training is provided by SUBARU, with dedicated technical back up always available.
Please submit your CV to nick@mapleleafgarage.com
All applications will be treated with absolute discretion.

It's the first time in many years I've had to recruit, and I'm astounded at the costs involved in advertising posts. Placing a little ad in the local paper for two weeks and placing the position with a local agency would run to £7000 !!!!

Any ideas where I could place this ad to attract the best response? All ideas greatly appreciated.

This is a rare thing in the trade now, and most of the SM's I know (including me when I was one) are disillusioned because of the unbelievable and unrealistic pressure from above.

I'd be considering an application if I were still in the trade smile

Hope you get the right man for the job.

Online is where it's at, linked in, Reed etc. Nowhere near the cost of the local rag and a far broader audience.

I actually really like the sound of that job, but I don't have any experience. Very customer service and experience focused though (also technically minded).

Maple Leaf are based near Northampton too aren't they?

Fancy giving me a trial run???

Many thanks. Reed seems to fit the bill. Already had two applications from just this post, so even PH works!
