Yes, bigger business on floor 2, took everything, all pc, monitors even cables, their staff just stood around, no phones or anything =(
You mean they did this during office hours??
No. Read the (whole) thread again.
He meant they couldn't work - all equipment stolen. Hence productivity lost.

OP, as I understand it - in an attempt to contaminate evidence and cover up footprints, the burglars used washing up liquid.
Most likely failed to get rid of DNA though, if there's blood on the scene...forensics will know more.

Forensics did turn up but I don't know whether they found anything the second time round, the first time round they found quite a lot of blood on a broke piece of glass/floor

I'm wondering whether the first time was kids to scope out the place and the second time was associated adults?

First time was smash and grab but more smash - second time was a lot more organised... frown

Does anyone know if we have grounds to get out of the office contract due to the break in's, it just isn't a safe environment to work at the office 24 hours a day which is something that was sold to us when we moved in - in my mind it isn't fit for purpose any more...

Also we were told (admittedly in passing) the building had not been broke into before - also not true.

You could ask in the Speed, Plod & the Law sub-forum, regarding the contract legalities...

Washing up liquid? Bleach I could understand but fairy liquid will do sod all. I guess they wouldn't be thieves if they had more brain cells.

They did and so did we , paying a lot more in rent but we get to keep the things we work so hard for - for a bit longer!
