Were you staying at Gothia Towers?! Granted, I have a place to stay but I also go to Gothenburg from Stansted or Gatwick for maximum £100 return. You could hire a car cheaper than the taxi rate, or take the bus into town. I know it's a one off, so you probably wouldn't have the local knowledge, but it wouldn't take long to find out all of this.

No, I've taken the 99SEK Flugbussarna when I was staying downtown, and the tram (free because it wouldnt scan my card) up to where our offices are, but generally I fly in at night, stop the next day and I'm off again. Even if you hire like a Peugeot 107 for £50 or whatever it is, the flight and hotel is the main bit, but I'd rather have a hotel somewhere near the office than spend time travelling round Gothenburg in their version of a rush hour

Fair enough. That's a shockingly expensive flight with SAS, though! I have booked via CPN with them a few times from LHR at the last minute, and I'm sure I've never paid more than £130.

Can't say I 'd consider asking for a chance in venue. Just doesn't look great to start with imo.

I flew from Denver to London for a job interview (I wanted the job and got it)
