Not the same circumstances as you, but I left a well paid job GDP 2,300 per month for 72 hours per month (in 2003), for “the grass is greener on the other side, turned out to be the Gobi. Fast forward to 2015, I now earn GDP 1,000 per month for 60 hours per month, yes a huge drop.
However, in that time period, I learned a skill set that allows me to earn far more than my regular salary, outside of contract hours. I should add I do live in a country in which the average wage in my region is GDP 300 per month
37, too old to retrain, no, I’m 55. You can’t attend night school, there are so many options for education on-line, just make sure you have a plan of action to show a future employer why you made this choice and do it as quick as you can.
Minimum wage in most cases will mean boring and repetitive, may seem easy, but do you want 27 years of that?
