Too many job moves at a young age, going to look bad on me?

The subsequent counter-offering saw the salary go from £60K to just under £80K. Bonkers.
Londonshire? When I moved jobs at the start of the year my old employer asked if there was anything they could do to keep me. My response was "Yes, address my salary 6 months ago when I told you I thought I was worth more." Never felt right making 'threats' I wasn't prepared to back up. Effective package of +30% in the new role.

Couldn't tell you. I don't think a middle of the road .net dev with 4 yrs is worth the £50K they are asking.

It seems at the minute you can basically set your price and someone will pay it.

Spoke to a recruiter the other day whose candidate was offered two roles. The subsequent counter-offering saw the salary go from £60K to just under £80K. Bonkers.
And I thought I was being cheeky with my salary request! What sector are you in if you don't mind me asking? I have a lot of uni friends who are working in London, were pretty average at uni and don't have any particular specialisation and earn about double what I do. All they're doing is mashing APIs together, meanwhile I'm slaving away for not much more than a graduate doing really low TLR stuff for R&D.

I'm not bitter, I swear. wink
