(btw - Henry can you assist me in getting a master reset code for a QVIS DVR - I'm led to believe there is a 24 hour master reset code available based upon the date shown on screen, we've pulled the DVR out and installed a new one - it would be good to get the old working again.It was originally bought from a crowd in Scarborough that don't answer the phone)
Have you tried the master code 888888 ? I was told there was no reset codes and that 888888 is programmed into every unit and can't be changed. However they seem to change their DVR's every week so who knows, every time I order one I get something different.

I run an eCommerce business and an electrical contractors that do CCTV! I'd be ideal for this role but too far away and I don't want a job frown

Good luck finding someone, sounds like a great opportunity.

Thanks for that. I hope it is a good opportunity for someone. Certainly a bit different. We aren't your typical employer !

yes we tried all of those 111111,888888,admin,blank,the owners birthday,the code he uses for the alarm system - we tried everything anyone could think of!

If you are ordering these you might inquire from your supplier your supplier - I can't get anyone who stocks these to give me an answer unless it was bought from them - they all seem to know that there is a master code that can be generated based upon the date showing on the CCTV footage - whether they also requires the serial number of the box as well I don't know - as soon as I have to say - 'no it wasn't bought from you', they all say 'sorry sir I can't help you'.

I'm surprised someone hasn't offered to do it for a fee if you send it to them.

I buy direct from them, I know all the important people.

Send me an email/PM with your exact enquiry and I shall send an email on your behalf tomorrow!

Can't promise they'll be helpful, but I don't mind asking the question.

<edited>

I read your post again, I've emailed my contact there and will let you know what they say.

I've got you the "password of the day" you need to make sure the NVR is showing todays date, and you have to do it today. I've emailed you the password.

I really really appreciate that - what a wonderful place PH is sometimes, away from the noise of the Lounge and NPE so many issues really get solved here.

I'm just off to reply to your email.

What an absolute gent to go out of his way to help with this.

(Henry I hope you find the right person, they are out there.)
