Strange thing said at interview
Discussion
I had an interview, company where things are a 'bit lean'.
Towards the end of the interview (which ran well over), one of the interviewers said "if you think of anything else drop me an email"
So this got me thinking...
Did they like me, but I missed something obvious and I'm getting a chance to put it right?
Did they like my ideas but not me (no doubt I'm a disruptive force for change), and wanted some of my ideas for someone else to implement?
Nothing so sinister, just liked some of what I had to say, and giving me an opportunity to add to it if I thought of anything?
I've not been PAYE since 1997 and never had a 'job' interview before (I've pitched to companies so treated it as a pitch for myself), but I thought it odd that I get a post-interview opportunity to add content.
Anyone more in the know experienced (or offered candidates) similar?
ETA: Title should say "Strange", good job my interview presentation was verbal only!

I haven't had many interviews but they are all different and often strange...
I sat in an interview with 4 managers who debated among themselves mid interview whether they needed to actually hire someone.... Weirdly I was offered the job, but didn't take it as it freaked me out a little.
What he said may have just been a sort of reflex, I speak to lots of subcontractors and at the end of meetings and phone calls often finish with if you need or think of anything else drop me an email, do you think it may have been along these lines? Often at the end of interviews the interviewer may give a card so you can contact them especially at smaller firms
