On Prince2, you may have noticed a slight difference of opinion. Some organisations use it for IT projects, others think it is completely inappropriate. In its favour, it is a qualification you can attain and shove on your CV and no sane organisation is going to be horrified to see it. However a practitioner who couldn't talk about when it is and isn't appropriate would ring alarm bells.

I did consider retraining as a sparkie or plumber but with no contact in either industry getting a start would be difficult Ive been informed.

Never thought about that what qualifications do I need?
None other than being able to turn up at 10am and go home at 4pm.

Some take this multiple choice quiz. http://certifications.bcs.org/category/15574

Oh yeah, I did that ISTQB. 100% score in 10 minutes ... having spent a couple of hours reading up beforehand.

The Practitioner Exam is harder though!

HGV drivers often end up doing second jobs, such as packing and picking orders, in the factories where I work, in order to pay the bills. I haven't seen any account directors pitching up and offering to do weekends on the lines, though there's always a first time.
Yeah, of course they do.rolleyes

Link doesn't work. What are you trying to say, that they don't end up doing extra jobs and that everyone following your link for hours worked? rofl

No, drivers hours including time off/rest periods are highly regulated and subject to regular inspections by the DVSA, it would be a pretty stupid driver who took on additional work at the weekend, leading to insufficient rest and the genuine risk of his licence being withdrawn.

Quick update and a thanks for everyone who bothered to reply, it is appreciated. Had a meeting with work I have a week to come up with any ideas of alternative job within the business but it would have to be a technical role and a junior position. As I don't have any experience and would need training. I haven't had it confirmed yet but this would result in a big prop in ££££ which I don't think I can afford. Any ideas on how and if I can negotiate the best redundancy deal?
