Hi Guys need a bit of advice on the above subject

I have a interview next week with a large company for the first line manager in the warehouse, This will be the next step for me in my chain and my 10 year plan, Over150 people applied and now down to last 6

They have asked me after a telephone interview and a quick 30mins chat with the HR on the role to go with a copy of my CV and some ID. But I want to stand out so im going to do a quick overview of me with everything I can bring to the role and how I can implement it and make it successful bullet point my training techniques. At the End I will have all my references details for both a quick verbal and then written references if required. Its a role where its really too early for me I would be looking in maybe 3 years time but see this is a big chance to get in the door here.

So will this make me look desperate or will it make me stand out as hungry for the job and shows the effort im prepared for the interview will show how much ill put in the job.

Regards

Al

Be careful it could be seen like you telling them how to run their business. Most likely the people currently not doing what you would will be sat around the table you could be seen to be saying they are crap at their jobs you are better employ me.

I did this once, didn't get the job.

Focus more on what you have done in the past, they should see the potential. You've only got to look better than 5 others. Good luck.

This is my worry. The two who are conducting the interview are the Depot General Manager and the group HR Manager but they also said somebody else may attend if available but wont tell me who unless they are in attendance.

I think its me panicking due to the role and effectively trying to show my potential but not come across as a prick in doing so. So may just concentrate on what I will bring to them ie Fresh set of eyes, proven training record for younger people and my man management. Maybe the military taught me more than just drinking games and skiing.

One of the major unseen costs to a business is accidents not just damage but injury too. Time lost to employees being off, the affect on morale, never mind the increases in insurance premiums etc etc. Wouldn't hurt to say you are looking into or maybe they'd put you forward for a NEBOSH qualification which should help you and them to improve their accident stats and save them lots of £'s.

Might make the difference or help?
