Write CV, get a new job.

You don't like it there, and they don't like you. Just move on.

Sounds like a poor fit. Hard to suggest anything other than moving on, sorry.

Seen this before, ring your old boss for a pint and try to get your old job back.

Ear drops in the bosses brew, then find a new job, or at least try to get your old one back.

Building societies and tech don't really go together. The boards aren't very progressive and each BS talks to others so if xxxxx has it then it must be good for yyyy right?

I've recently been involved in some tech consultancy for a BS - never again.

Live and learn and move on. If you're good it is a sellers market at the moment.

As others have said, the indicators are not promising so you need to think whether you want to weather the storm or move on.

These situations are unfortunately very common, mainly due to prospective employees not carrying out their due diligence. I can't stress enough the checks one needs to do prior to accepting a role, temp or perm, if you want to look forward to going in each day, feeling valued and being supported.

Good luck!

You might want to get the references to your place of work removed, a chimp could piece it together in 2 seconds and you probably want to leave the role on your own terms, not with a boot up your arse!!!

Good point Bluequay - i was upset and angry - First post now removed - thanks to all who responded. The answer was obvious, its time to move on, but under my terms and not theirs.

Having had them as a customer years ago, I can only reinforce that you need to get out as soon as you can before you go mad. We had some customers who didn't seem to understand their own IT systems, but only one who ordered us to send them their database. Which was an unusual request as we were just a vendor of some software they had installed many years ago. On their own servers. To which we had no access.
