Yes, I said that a bit casually. I meant more manage the project which will be mostly worked on by devs.

Anyway, what I want is to ensure that I get a credible certification as it will open career options up for me too and I don't want to rock up at an interview with a certificate and them say it's the wrong qualification or isn't worth the paper it's written on because I got it from some random chancer who just called themself a training provider so they could fleece people. Google just reveals a plethora of courses and providers - I have no way of knowing who's credible and who isn't. I tried looking at household name companies (like Sky Betting and Gaming) advertising scrum master roles to see what qualification was in their list of prerequisites, but they don't say. I've looked on LinkedIn and noted that the CSM provided by Scrum Alliance seems to be quite popular among people who are working in decent places.
