Hi, I have got a job offer and company is offering 20% bonus but i will be eligible after one year’s of full service. Does it mean i will get my first bonus after 24 months of starting date or it would be after 12 months?

Also would 20% be a guarantee bonus or it would depend on company's profit?

I have asked them and just waiting for their reply.

Why not ask them, we can't guess the rules.

I'll make a big assumption here - they probably pay bonus at the end of their financial year. This is quite possibly end of March.

The 12 months service thing is to catch anyone who starts mid financial year - e.g., if you start in October 2015, your first bonus payment will come April 2017.

It's a purely contractual thing , you need to ask them ...

This.

Assuming you get paid more than minimum wage then there are no set rules on how bonus scheme should work.

Every bonus scheme is different. To demonstrate the breadth, I have worked for one company where I didn't get a bonus for nearly 2 years (you had to be in post at the start of the financial year and it was paid after the end of that year; guess when I started?), and I worked for another company who pleasantly surprised me by sending me a not-insubstantial bonus about 15 months after I left; apparently I picked up a bonus for part of the previous year when I was still employed by them.

This is why the above posters are all correct and why nobody here can answer your question.
