Help - waterproof sun cream on leather seats!!
Discussion
My wife has managed to make great big milky white smears of waterproof sunscreen on the leather seats and door panels of my 5 month old 981BS!!
Apart from filing for divorce, can anyone give me some practical advice on what to do? Is there anything that I can get that can remove these marks, do I need to get the leather pressional cleaned/dyed - or am I stuck with these marks for good?

Thanks! I haven't tried anything yet as still away on holiday with the car. I'm worried about driving the sun cream deeper into the leather, but will try Mcguires when I get home next week. It certainly hasn't come off wiping it with a dry cloth. Does anyone know if Porsche treat the leather with anything to protect it? As this was a waterproof lotion that you remove from your body just using soap and water, might this work or would it just make it worse and damage the leather?
Get some leather cleaner like Autoglym and a std wooden or plastic nail brush. Dont be afraid to give it a good scrub a couple of times then wet sponge wipe down. Do it to mine all the time - not alcantara obviously. Cant you get this stuff while your away as you dont want to work it in through use. Short term fix is baby wipes.
If none of this works then brake cleaner but need to be really careful trying a small non viz area first.

I had a similar issue with Lady Stebbo leaving some suncream on my passenger seat. I use a damp sponge and some Citrus type APC.
Came off a treat. I also immediately wiped over with a clean damp cloth then some Dr Leather wipes.
Yeah, suncream was it? Came off a treat. I also immediately wiped over with a clean damp cloth then some Dr Leather wipes.
Of course Sir, Yes Sir, Suncream.
OK - held my breath and took the plunge with a wet cloth and a bar of Dove soap - and it seems to have worked!
Thanks for all the suggestions. Seats look fine again, marriage saved, and holiday still being enjoyed.
Wife looks a bit odd sitting there swathed from head to toe in bath towels though....
😉

Definitely sun cream - too much of the bloody stuff to be what you're suggesting!
Bloody stuff? You didn't mention this in your initial post.Anyhow my daughter got hand cream all over the leather steering wheel. Couldn't get it off but fortunately it was only a Polo so I sold it.
