Hopefully the first 2 series will go online again too before the new series starts. Nothing on Netflix at the moment and only White Christmas on 4OD. I'd like to watch them again.

Can someone please explain the second episode of the first series...the one where the girl is followed by people in some sort of game show, they're all using mobile phones to film her whilst the main actors in the game show try to kill her.
What's that all about - I don't get it confused

Just rematched the first series over the last couple of nights with the missus.

Going to watch the second lot next week then the new one, they're all on Netflix currently.

I remember loving them when they came out, and watching them again they're even better I feel as you're more aware of the little details

its like a theme park.... people pay to go see the girl wake up and not know what going on and be attacked by the weird people... as entertainment... the girl has her memory wiped or something before each "show" ...

(been a while since i watched it, but i think thats the plot... )

like the killer clown craze... hehe

IIRC she was a murderer or some other criminal and this was her alternative punishment

I've ended up liking the episodes everyone hates and vice versa, but the first episode is a cracker. Deliciously believably awful, slightly tempered by the main character being kind of a bh. If she wasn't I'd slit my wrists.

Also, look out for the Daewoo matrix.

Christ EP 2 and 3 have a bleak ending.

Very hard to find any TV/Films these days with an unhappy ending, refreshing as much as its harrowing.

EP 1 reflects my opinion of social media perfectly, I used to care about facebook likes and re tweets etc when I was younger and naive, but now I just don't give a damn, and have never been happier.

I didn't realise there were so many episodes in Season 3, as 1 & 2 were three each.

Have had a very lazy afternoon watching them.

Gloriously bleak! hehe

Watched the first two, very good so far smile .

In the second one, the movie he's watching on the plane is Big Ass Spider, it has Greg Grunberg from Heroes in it and will probably be shown on the horror channel at some point, if it hasn't been shown already.

Just subscribed to Netflix to watch these. Do they all have no speech? Thought the centre channel had gone up the swanny! With the first one we watched about Social media.

confused

You watched it with people's mouths moving and thought it was a stylistic decision to have no dialogue audio or something?

Watched Shut Up and Dance last night - man that reveal was brutal. All the way through the episode I was thinking "what's the big deal? Teen masturbates to porn, stop the presses!" then the reveal came and it was a bit of a gut punch. I both like and hate the way the episode makes you really sympathise with the boy throughout, then turns it on its head and asks the question of the audience whether or not any empathy for a pedophile is justified. It re-colours the whole interaction he has with that little girl too. Ugh.

Of all the episodes I've seen so far this felt the closest to present day reality. Although it has shades of White Bear about it, White Bear always felt a bit fantastical in both premise and execution. This on the other hand I could believe could happen right now. frown

Watched no. 4 tonight, San Junipero.

Different to what's gone before, but still Black Mirror, somehow. No real big twist, just the story moving on and dropping hints to what was happening as it went. I got the feeling there was some kind of Second Life or VR thing fairly early on, but the way it was done was good, and made a much happier hour of TV than no.3 last night hehe

Holly fk. Cried like a baby. One of the best bits of TV I've ever seen. So uplifting. I'll never listen to Belinda Carlisle quite the same again.

Aside: the girl that played Yorkie has been cast in the new bladerunner film.
