Self employed gardener- Should I? Advice needed.

I have friends in North Yorkshire who do gardening. Tim met a girl who did gardening while he had a milk round which was struggling as everybody uses supermarkets. So the pair of them joined up and expanded the gardening. Soon they had regular customers who wanted half a day a week/fortnight etc. They do get the people who want them once to clear a jungle but they just say we price jungle clearance by the job and not the hour and price accordingly! Go for it!
