I am thinking of changing job roles in the near future and have been thinking about increasing the mumber of qualifications I have to assist in this. I currently work as a Building Services Engineer mainly focusing on the Mecahnical side and Part L. I don't have much experience in managing projects so have been looking round at online training courses and I have come across a company called Alison. As a free course this appeals to me before I make the leap and pay for a full course.

Has anyone used them before and have they got anything good/bad to say?

Is there any other providers that would be worth looking at?

A free course, but you need to pay for the certificate about £70 IIRC.

Not sure what an employer would think of the course, but I'd go for it.

It's free, it increases your knowledge, it allows you to talk at interview from a more informed position, it may whet your appetite for more, go for it.

I did it. The course content is annoying, but I learnt some stuff and put diploma in project management on my CV. Can't hurt for free!

In what way was it annoying?

It involves setting up a music festival for an Australian record company. Silly cartoons, silly names, I guess it gets drilled into you but it makes it hard to take the process seriously!
