Hi there just wondering if there is any one on here at present that is working for any f1 teams laminating, with the winter build starting I'm looking for a way in, I have 10 years experience mostly within the aerospace industry but have tinkered with other projects as well. Can load and operate autoclaves and various other equipment any feedback appreciated many thanks.

This may be better placed in the F1 forum - but also have a read of what working for an F1 team can be like in the thread there! You really do need to love doing what you do...

Where are you based? I know of a company on the south coast that manufactures cf parts for almost every f1 team

Hi - I know this is an old thread but it caught my eye as i'm a lammer currently contracting at a team.

McLaren or toro are your best bet if you havent done any motorsport work before. It's quite hard to get in most automotive and F1 places without the right experience. You and i know that it's all black and stripey and basically the same but for some reason they still like motorsport experience.

Try a small sub contract firm to get a foot in in motorsport, somewhere like GTR in west Sussex is a good bet. They pay their connys around £18-21 an hour, have tons of hours available and do decent structural work for RB, force India etc.

All the best
