Having been in the city for many years I've had a brief chat with a major player that owns many car dealership/franchises.
The job will involve working on the commercial sales side although exactly how it'll be structured at this stage is unknown and it's a new role that'll be created .

The upside is getting the fook out of the city which is not thriving presently but I'm wondering how I'll adjust to a totally different industry .

Any advice/tips or indeed anyone had similar thoughts or experience ?

Just out of interest, what are you currently doing?

By the sounds of it, you'll be quick to adapt and transfer your existing skills. I see people change roles and often careers quite frequently (FMCG). It can be just what you need, and if it all checks out then run with it.

Without boring on about the detail I'm currently in the city in a financial role dealing with rude clients most of my day .

Its so boring now due to increased regulation and automation but my client facing strengths I'm good at and keen to use still, it's what I'm good at .

That is something companies would be highly interested in. No harm in pursuing a potential way out to something better a bit further anyway is there...

Hopefully .
I'm keen to get out of the city and be involved with something I enjoy more and transfer my skills .
Having not been down this road before it's tricky to know where to start.
