Hello There Gents.

After a dealyed start, I am now looking for one or maybe two part or full time drivers with an appropriate licence, regular licence pre 1997 test date, or class 1 after then.

Rignt now, I have one MAN 7.5 tonne race truck, one Leyland Daf 7.5 Tonne reace truck. Both with tail lifts and ramps. I am looking to buy two good covered trailers.

The business. Moving cars from UK to Europe. High value cars. Specialist enclosed transport. Drivers who can talk comfortably with owner of cars worth half a million plus on occasion. Private collection cars.

Classic race cars to move to and from Race meetings in Europe. Attening classic race meetings.

Drivers need to be passionate about waht they do, be able to think on their feet and solve problems when they arise. Have confidence and the ability to adapt to client's wishes.en

This may sound like a dram job, and it could be. It will be verty demanding, very long hours on occasions, staying away from home, friends, family etc. It probably would not work for someone with a wife and kids at home.

The trucks will be based in the north Midlands j28 M1 and/or the Midi Pyrenees France (Albi). I have storage space at both locations. The race carseason starts in March. effectively people are planning now.

If you have run you own small business, and you can demonstrate business skills too, then there might be an opportunity for a business partnership of some sort.

I have contract in the classic race car world, who say they have business for me this year.

Send a PM wotht your CV and personal situation.

Many thanks

Bob

Driver's will also need a CPC, compulsory across Europe for any commercial work over 3.5 tonnes since 2014

Plus all the requirements for an international ops licence such as TM CPC or a TM employed/sub contracted, maintenance agreement or the facilities to do it yourself to a standard VOSA accept, record keeping for a minimum of 15 months etc. etc. - it's a massive PITA to do completely above board which is why so many race teams with big investments in logistics view those trucks/vans/shuttles as an operating cost not a potential profit centre.

If you've already got an international ops in place then things are easier but if not prepare yourself for a LOT of form filling laugh
