Just like the title says I'm interested in hearing about any experiences PH's might have had moving abroad to teach.

Background: I'm going to be 50 in April, currently living and working in France ( near Fontainebleau). Divorced, 2 children. My daughter (aged 14) goes to the same private school where I teach. She won't be going to the private sixth form from 2018, and my son (19) wants to study abroad for a masters.

I'm staying where I am until my daughter finishes her secondary education and my son passes his degree in July 2018.
After that I'm off somewhere else.

I'm tempted to move elsewhere to teach.
Looking for a new start from summer 2018.

The Far East or Middle East sound tempting, but what about other countries which offer a better quality of life,

Two of my work colleagues in the sixth form are leaving in July after being offered jobs in Dubai.
The International Section who employ me has announced a pay freeze for the next 3-5 years, with extra unpaid Saturday commitments, despite the numbers of enrolled students increasing from Sept 2017.
The boss just got a massive pay increase/newly refurbished office!!!
Out of the 10 full time teachers 3 are leaving, one is retiring and another is going part time.

One of the teachers of to Dubai only has a BA, no CELTA, and only 4 years teaching experience. Her salary will be 4000$ tax free/month! 2 year contract.

The other colleague has signed a 2 year contract in Saudi Arabia for 5700$ /month ( 16 years teaching exp in Ireland/France)

I've got 25 years teaching experience, in the U.K+France, a BA hons , TEFL+CELTA, and pedagogical experience as head of history in the U.K/ exam organisation in France, and having taught every level from 11 up to adults
Can teach English, history, geography, plus even French as foreign language.

Questions :

Recruitment process? Interviews? Relocation costs? Health insurance? Realistic possible salary based on my age/qualifications/experience? Accommodation costs? Cost of living? Savings achievable from tax free salary?

Thanks.

Ps: if you've read my other posts in here you know my situation. Currently off work till start Feb and in process of moving to another flat.

I'll need 30 hof physio to get over injuries.

Started diet, cut out all alcohol and sugars.

Abandoned legal process ( can't afford fees due to salary drop).
