IT Support Roles In Here ....
Discussion
Excuse the layout - posted on my phone !
Just had a load of roles signed off in my team at www.prolinx.co.uk in our ITSD and 2nd Line teams. All roles are based at our site in Shrivenham, just outside Swindon.
PM me for role profiles.
We have 2 roles in our 2nd line support team, where we need people with network (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet) and Linux (RHEL/CentOS) support experience in production environments. We don't mind if you are stronger on one than the other, but you need to have proven capability doing this sort of troubleshooting and proactive maintenance role in a former employer. We also support other capabilities such as VMWare and Windows servers, but these are lower priority requirements and we'd help you get up to speed on them in good time.
We also have 4 roles in our 24/7 ITSD, where you'll be part of a 12 hour shift team (7-7, 4 day shifts, 4 rest days, 4 night shifts, 4 rest days).
2 are Apprentice roles, ideal if you've never worked in IT but have a keen appetite to learn. Recruitment for these is being lead by our training partner QA and I'm happy to put you in touch if you drop me a trust message. It's a fantastic scheme and you'll have an amazing opportunity to build a career.
1 is for an ITSD Analyst, great if you've got experience working in a support role already. We don't mind if it wasn't on an ITSD, you'll spend most of your time taking calls from our partners and end users - so that sort of experience in another non technical role is fine if you do have 1-2 years technical employment too (like supporting a school IT system and also working in a customer facing role elsewhere).
1 is for an ITSD Shift lead, and realistically you need a few years as a competent ITSD Analyst as a minimum. Whilst previous supervisory experience is great, we aren't precious to needing you to have staff management experience and if you are the right candidate we will support you learning how to do this. You'll be leading a team of analysts and apprentices that you can help develop and share your experience with.
Happy to answer any questions via PM
