I just tried out this online tool, https://www.adzuna.co.uk/jobs/value-my-cv/upload, created by the same bloke that did the rightmove house price algorithm.

I have a long 4 page c.v, it got my salary to within a couple of hundred pounds (excl bonus), I think that's a pretty good level of accuracy considering the complexity of the cv.

Weirdly accurate. Especially as people tell me I'm overpaid all the time and nearly all the suggested jobs are totally unrelated. hehe

Gave me the salary expected for working in central London, but that drops off fairly rapidly outside of London in my profession. Value my time more than money these days, though that might have to change frown

Not too bad, 50k out but my industry/role is slightly niche.

It says I'm worth double what my last employer was paying me. They were tight feckers but realistically an extra 50% would be closer to the mark.

Oh hang on, maybe I won't bother.
Unsubscribe, no spam from them, no personal details on the cv, and I used the email address I use for all potential scam sources, rather than an address that matters

Does you're cv not contain all your personal details as well?
Why do you think someone would create what is really a pointless service, other than to capture peoples CV's?
No, redacted all the personal stuff. But, TBH plenty of recruitment companies have my CV, it has proven useful over the years

The point of it is to get people to find their jobs site.

Leave any details off you don't want a job site using.

About 10% out for me.

Far better than most of these things I've used in the past.

Ended up within a couple of k for me. Pretty accurate (even if I'm now going to be hounded with calls!).

Try rewriting your CV and see if it improves the expected salary?

I sort of get that, hence saying it's a pointless service. What value does anyone loading their CV derive?
Its just a harvesting exercise
A list of jobs which it thinks are suitable for you. Some notional indication of whether you're worth more or less than you're paid.

Same model as zoopla really, not that that doesn't have its critics.
